In addition to our exceptional volunteers, we owe much of our success to many generous individuals and organizations that seldom get the opportunity to see the difference that they're making in the lives of local families. But on March 30th, we hope to change that — with a wonderful banquet at the Refinery, featuring a few brief and encouraging testimonials from our volunteers and the clients they serve. All proceeds from the evening's event will be used to support our work in the coming months.

If you would like to show your support during this important fund-raising event, the following sponsorship opportunities are still available.

Food Pantry Sponsorship $1,500
Through the Eastern Illinois Food Bank, we're able to purchase food for about a tenth of what it would normally cost, dispensing hundreds of thousands of pounds to families in need each and every year. Your gift will pay for an entire week, and will be recognized on the week of your choice with signage indicating the individual or corporation who provided the gift.

Financial Literacy Sponsorship $500
One of the best ways to help families struggling with financial needs is to provide them with the tools to make better financial decisions. Your gift of $500 will cover the cost of one thirteen-week Financial Peace University class for ten households. Based on the work of best-selling author Dave Ramsey, FPC teaches participants how to get out of debt, budget for expenses, plan for emergencies and establish a financial future that includes giving to others in need. Additional one-on-one counseling also addresses related issues, including parenting, coping, marriage and employment-related skills.

Benevolence Sponsorship $500
This special fund provides special help for immediate, short-term needs, such as a power or water bill, the last bit of rent, or much-needed medication. When a request is made, we work with potential recipients to evaluate their budget and help them evaluate whether or not the assistance will help or if they're in an unsustainable situation for which help is merely a "band-aid." Approved recipients must complete the Financial Peace University course before they're eligible for future assistance. Your gift will provide for one month of benevolence assistance to families in our area.

Computer Technology Sponsorship $500
Salt & Light is currently working in partnership with the School of Information Technology at the University of Illinois to establish a computer lab that will offer basic computer access with lab times for children and adults. Your gift will help replace one of the refurbished desktops we are currently using.

Reserve all ten seats at a table and receive signage at your table, along with a mention in the program.
